We arrived in Finland just in time to catch the tail end of the summer. Sunny days by the beach and evenings in the party sauna made for quite the introduction to the Finnish lifestyle. We went swimming in the Baltic Sea amongst the largest archipelago in the world. We had a BBQ with our Finnish friends Valterri and Santerri near the shore. We faced many challenges, such as mosquitos and sunburn, but all were forgotten after a heathly measure of Jalovina (Finnish cut brandy). A very unexpected beginning to our adventure but one that we are very grateful for.
