After many recommendations to go to Naantali we finally braved the cold weather and headed out to the small town. Walking from the bus stop to the sea front there wasn't a person to be seen. However, when we got to the seafront we were pleasantly surprised by the old town and the lovely autumn leaves. Our day trip to Naantali included lots of surprises including the Finnish Nessie, a strange cafe ran by a Finnish Opera singer and the world's best carrot cake. This town would be great to go during the summer months - even if it is only to visit Moomin-world!
